Service Description

An application submitted by a customer to obtain a clearance certificate from EtihadWE stating that the customer is not liable for outstanding payments towards EtihadWE against the account number as provided, or requesting for final invoice in settlement of the account and disconnection of the service while vacating the premises.

Procedure

Service Center

  • Submitting form attached with required documents.
  • Disconnect the service after reading the meter.
  • SMS will be sent to the customer stating the due amount

Electronic and Smart Service

  • Click “Service Requests” ​then “Clearance Certificate”, meter reader will take the reading to prepare the settlement invoice and disconnect the service.
  • SMS will be sent to the customer stating the due amount including service fees

Payment of due amounts is associated with:

  • Application for clearance is correlated with refund of the deposit service.

Required Documents:

  • Attested copy of Ownership Certificate / Lease Contract (if the application is submitted at the Center)
  • Attested copy of the commercial license (in case of commercial or industrial accounts) (if the application is submitted at the Center)
  • Copy of the Emirates ID / personal identification document

Correlation between other services and procedures:

  • Application of refund of the deposit service.

Service Regulations​

  • Customers must collect the Clearance Certificate (if applied through Centers) within 15 working days of application. If not collected within 15 working days, the Certificate is cancelled and a new application will be required for the service.
  • The customer shall pay the amount of the settlement invoice before the Clearance certificate is issued.
