Notes & Conditions – EtihadWE Connection Fee Calculator

1. Value Added Tax (VAT): The calculated amount is exclusive of applicable VAT (currently 5%).
2. Scope of Use: This calculator is applicable for permanent connections only and is not to be used for temporary connections or maintenance works.
3. Ownership & Technical Requirements:
   1. Requests must be submitted by the project owner or their authorized representative. 
   2. Compliance with all EtihadWE technical regulations and safety standards during execution is mandatory. 
4. Calculation Accuracy: The calculated amount is based on the entered total load and existing load, and on the approved unit rates at the time of calculation. It may vary at the time of formal application or if project conditions change.
5. Special Loads ⓘ
   1. Temporary Connections: Fees are calculated per (kVA) in addition, the customer bears the costs of supplying and installing the materials.
   2. Manors, reserves, water wells, street lighting, facilities located in special geographic nature areas such as mountains, valleys and sand dunes (radars, cabins, communication towers, agriculture lands): Actual cost up to the point of connection including the meter.
   3. Billboards, transmission booster towers, radars, telephone booths, surveillance cameras, electric vehicle chargers, and similar installations not situated within specially designated geographic areas: AED 1,200 per kVA.
   Remote Area & Substations: Projects involving 132/11 kV or 33/11 kV substations, direct 11 kV connections, construction supply, or other special cases must coordinate with the Technical Support Team prior to cost calculation.
6. Rate Changes: All rates are subject to revision in line with EtihadWE decisions or updates to load slabs and service fees.
