During February, the Conservation Department implemented (16) awareness workshops targeting the juniors category, with a total attendance of (538) students.
The aforementioned workshops were implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and included a group of kindergartens and schools in Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Al Dhaid.
The workshops aimed to consolidate the culture of rationalization of consumption amongst the juniors. They included presenting a developed material far from the routine, focusing on the process of infering knowledge related to conservation, which included many competitions, interactive activities, educational games and video shows.
School principals and educational staff have praised the concrete efforts of FEWA in recent years to establish a culture of conservation of consumption and concepts of sustainability in the UAE society in general and the regions of the Northern Emirates in particular.
