Ruler of Sharjah Meets Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Accompanied by Chairman of SEWGA and CEO of EtihadWE

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah met His Excellency Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Etihad Water and Electricity (EtihadWE) at El Badi Palace yesterday. Accompanying the Minister were H.E. Saeed Sultan Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWGA), and Engineer Yousif Ahmed Al Ali, the CEO of EtihadWE.

His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, received a detailed explanation of the UAE's qualitative projects in the energy, electricity, and water sectors, which adhere to the highest technical and environmental standards. These projects play a significant role in achieving the targets outlined in national strategies.

During the meeting, His Highness familiarized himself with the plans and strategies of EtihadWE, including its prominent projects and initiatives in various serviced regions. The company is dedicated to providing efficient and sustainable water and electricity supplies. H.H. also gained insights into the company's active role in achieving water security for the UAE, aligned with the national strategy for this sector by the year 2036.

The ongoing efforts focus on establishing cooperation and partnerships at various levels, particularly through strategic collaborations with Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and SEWGA. These partnerships aim to achieve the desired integration among all involved parties, contributing to the realization of the referenced strategic goals. This aligns with the insightful vision of the leadership concerning the future of this sector in the UAE.
